Raízen Foundation promotes the 6th edition of Fashion Recycle in Piracicaba
Raízen Foundation is going to hold the 6th edition of Fashion Recycle at Cristóvão Colombo Recreational Club. The action, which has the purpose of stimulating the creativity of children, youth and adults by making clothes with reused materials is part of the city’s cultural calendar and has several partners.
The event is going to include a show with looks prepared by 12 public and private schools and two entities, which will be assessed by a jury including local authorities and fashion experts.
The ticket to watch the show is one liter of milk. On the day of the event, Raízen Foundation will donate the products collected to the president of CÁRITAS Social Center, Eduardo Romani. The entity provides community services since 1962 and currently serves about 100 children and teenagers per day.
“At each Fashion Recycle edition we notice that the involvement of the community becomes stronger. The topic encourages environmental action and opens doors to creativity and the reuse of materials”, states Érika Renata da Silva, coordinator of the Piracicaba Center.
